What to make?

I have two upcoming family dinner events at my house and I am clueless on what to make. I don't cook all that often-- it is no fun to cook for myself-- but I am willing to give anything a try. I don't think that I am a bad cook, just a little lazy when it comes to cooking for just me. So, I am excited to have people over and to make a good meal.

I don't usually have my family over for dinner. Because I am the youngest and don't have a family of my own, they don't think that I can or like to cook. So, they don't really expect a whole lot from my cooking!! But i want it to be good. I want them to enjoy it. Hmmm....

Maybe I will just have big t come over and do all the cooking!! He is a good cook!!

When my wife's away I cok cereal and reheated double cheeseburgers from McDonalds. Sounds gross, but that's all they really are on a regular day!

quincy, even though I have only met you once, I am a food connoisseur, so here are my suggestions for a semi-easy meal for a large group of people:
1. lasagna- kristi has a great recipe
2. enchiladas- your guests will be singing your praises once they get a whiff (of your enchiladas), again, kristi has a great recipe
3. fresh chicken stir fry in a special sauce, with a side of rice- kristi sometimes puts peanuts in it and then it gets really good.
4. lexington style nc bbq- this requires a drive to NC, bring big T with you, and then you buy it at carter brothers and serve it with the implication that you actually prepared it yourself.
